Spools are for going strait, not for the street. Unless you like the sound of your inside tire cherping, and hoping when you turn a corner, and your tires wearing out faster.

Well Spool vs Locker, the Spool is much better for street use, but comparitivly for streetability The posi is better, All out straight line reliabilty, the spool has it over the posi all day long

Locker vs. Spool on street= Locker is better

Spool vs. Locker at the track= Spool Better

and the rest are right!!

As far as street use depends on your cars setup and how much you drive it. Mine is setup to go straight and I only drive it once or twice a week and at the track in the summer so I went with the spool

Ive sat in a car with a locker, the rear end feels broken, it down right bothers me vs, a Spool that wants to skip, just take easy corners, I hated trying to back into a space with a locker. So this is a driveability issue for me.

As for the track, I was edging for the spool but I am sure its more debateable then anything

Lol, there we go. People often confuse the locker and think it means it locks the rear axles together all the time, it does not.

Posi: allows slip but has to sense slip before engaging. The locker pretty much is both sides are engaged at all times thus taking up more power, minimal as it is but at an instants notice will keep the rear stable.
Locker: will allow some slip around corners but very little
Spool: axles locked together all the time. this means that going around turns the one wheel sorta hops and scrapes along since the outside wheel cannot turn faster than the inside wheel like its supposed to

I've had problems with Lockers locking and unlocking the axles at slightly different times, causing the rear of the car to feel like it is going to pass you by. I swapped Lockers out of several street driven cars and replaced them with spools, and the customer's were very pleased with the results.
I've taken trips with cars with spools, I've never had a problem with them. Tight turning is harder to do, but other than that they don't bother me. Bob
