TCS/ASR Questions
actions - applying the brakes to the slipping
wheel (throwing more torque back across the
Torsen to the good wheel), and backing off
the throttle (I guess to prevent people from
having too much fun).
My questions are:
1) Is this right, especially the brake bit
(the other is painfully obvious)
2) Has anyone disconnected the throttle part
of TCS action? Any code or other issues?
What I think would be ideal is to keep the
brake action (simple, if wasteful, traction
augmentation) and get rid of the throttle
action (which makes the tranny upshift too
soon, etc.).
Is it practical, has it been done, are trickers
of some sort needed, etc., etc., etc.???
