Trans & Diff fluid change
I want to change the transmission (M6) fluid and and the differential oil... what is the best stuff to use for those two?
It's only got 6K miles on it, but I want to upgrade the juices for better performance and protection.

I'm a Redline proponent and use their D4ATF in the T56 and 75W-90 in the 10-bolt rear.
You can look here for more specifics about Redline fluids: http://www.redlineoil.com/

I'm getting ready to do the same thing except i have 40,000 on mine. Has anyone tired the Royal Purple products in a M6 and if so what kind of results did you see?
I am a redline guy myself. I changed my Tranny and Diff fluid at 38k and you can actually feel a difference in the shift. Its smoother and more accurate, but that is in my A4.
redine makes some good products.. if you have a whiney rear end you can use the 90w140 redline gear lube..MTI suggested that i use that when i had some gear whine..seems to be better now..
and yeah the redline 75w-90 is the same as there tranny fluid...

Amsoil has good stuff also. I put their synthetic ATF and Series 2000 75w90 rearend oil. I felt a big difference all the way around. It felt like it pulled harder and more responsive.
That's just my 2cents.

Although, if you do a search, it seems 50/50 the results. I have heard the best syn fluid to use in the T-56 is made by Honda.

I just want to get as many 'experianced' opinions as I can, so I can do the best thing going.

Use amsoil synthetic ATF and series 2000 75w90 rearend oil. They are suppost to be a lifetime fill and the rear end fluid can be used with out adding limited slip additive.
hope that helps.
