Default wanting to get a S60

First off i've done some searches and not for sure where to buy one. I guess direct with strange? Also I see alot of guys having them narrowed. Is that something that is pretty much a must or not something i shouldn't do? I like the Pro star look so was possibly lookin at the 15x10. Is that the commonly used size? First time to mess with the after market rearends so not for sure what i need and any help would be awesome. thanks

You shouldn't have to narrow your rearend with the pro stars, but you will have to grind the **** out of your brake calipers to get them to fit properly. Bogarts is the only wheels that will fit without modifactions. That's what I got, but I will warn you......thtey are very pricey. The S60 is a very good choice for a rearend. I have one and love it. Easy install also, but you will have to send your factory backing plates to Strangs so they can fit them on your new rearend which isn't no biggie considering you have to do this with every after market rearend. Plan on your car being down for a while. Strange is probably the slowest out of all manufactories, but well worth the wait.

The S60 is a very good choice. I orginally was going to buy one but then I found a killer deal on my Strange 12 bolt.

Narrowing the rear is not necessary but it sure looks killer with that 15x10 inch rim at 5 inches of backspacing. Its alot of work to get everything right though. Mine is narrowed 2 1/2 inches on each side and the end justified the means for me. I will admit however there were times while I was wearing goggles and breathing through a face mask as hot sparks burned my forearms when I asked myself if this was really worth it.
It was. I love how the car looks now.

So the shortening is manely for looks? I seen a few peoples pictures on here who said they had theres shortened and thats the look im goin for. Like you said it looks killer. I was told that strange will shorten it for no extra cost. If i do that and get the pro stars or which ever wheel with the 5" back spacing i should be fine. Right? Is there any disadvantages to having this done though? Also any advantages? Thanks again

Like what do you have in mind? I've only seen pro stars and bogarts and the bogarts are out of my price range right now. What other wheels would fit. I'm really thinkin hard on this getting it shortened idea. Thanks. If you have any pics lets see em. I'm open for any ideas

You can run alot of different wheels if the backspacing is correct.

Say, a 15x10 Torque Thrust D.
or Bogarts, Pro Stars or draglites.
A classic Cragar 15x10 with a 5 inch BS if thats your thing.
Weld alumastars if you gots money to burn.
The list goes on and on.

But yes the main reason is it makes the car look right.
