How can I tell what rear end and what gears I have?..It's a 99 T/A w/TCS

There will be an axle code on the options sheet on the end of the drivers door. Look for a "GU" code (like GU2, GU5, etc) and post it here of check with the dealer, I can't seem to find my list of codes and axle ratios. I'm sure someone will hop in here and bail me out though.....

3.42 I think? On LS1.com theres a F.A.Q. section that may have more info for you. Hope that helps. Did you buy the car brand new?

actually it's 3.23 I found this site with all the GM RPO codes...they have all the codes except for.. ready for this LS1 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Thanks anyway the site is http://www.wiu.edu/users/muwtj1/rpocodes.htm

Going from 3.23s to 3.42s would be only a small gain.

What TQ converter are you running? That's where the gains are to be made.

Whatever torque converter comes stock.. not sure what the stall is for stock <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> what would I need to upgrade to see a difference?
