How thick is the thick ring gear?

How thick is the thick ring gear? I need a new posi (7.5-7.625) for my 98 TA and it has an after market ring and pinion. Gears (3.42) are in good shape. my ring gear is 1.5 inches thick and no spacer. is this for a 2 series carrier or a3 series carrier? Thanks for any help.

.250 added to what thickness ring gear diminsion. When I bought the car it has a 3.42 gear. but the door sticker says it came with a 2.73 gear. I am trying figure out if they used the original 2 gear carrier or a 3 gear carrier. I figure if some one knew the thickness of the ring gear for one or the other Ican figure out whitch I have. Thanks.
