Type of Paint for the 9" housing

Type of Paint for the 9" housing Okay guys got my new 9" hosuing and 3rd member delivered today, needless to say that I am seriously getting super excited for my car to be done.
My question is what type of paint did you peeps use when you painted your housing. Not that I am not fond of the rust colored stocker but hopefully this one will look a little better.
Can I just use some rattle can with clear over the top? Yes I know its cheap but I have acquired an adept handle to rattle can and can make things look pretty damn good with it.

If it were mine, I would paint it with Eastwood rust encapsulator base coat and Eastwood chassis black top coat. That will keep it rust free for a long time and the chassis black is the right color and gloss.
+1 to encapsulator, i POR15 my rear. POR15 is good but its not UV resistant and the Encasulator is. My POR15'd rear is only a few months old but it looks as good the day i did it. Long term my rear will prob turn brown.
I'm using POR15 on my Moser as well. I have already done the front spindles,upper control arms,motor mounts with it and it's awesome stuff. As long as the parts are not in direct sunlight this is the way to go. It comes in different colors/finishes as well.
P.S. if you choose the POR 15 route on new metal you need to use the POR15 metal ready (acid) before hand. It etches the surface for better adhesion.. Go to the site and have a peek.

If you were painting an axle alraedy in the car and it had some rust I would recommend POR15 too, but for a new axle rust encapsulator spray followed by chassis black will look good, go on easily and will last.
I'd highly doubt your rear will turn brown...unless you are packing your own personal sun to shine underneath your car as you drive around.
