What size gear did you put in? I would not have needed anything with 3.73 gears but becuase of the size of the 4.10 gears they say I need these for going into a stock 10 bolt ..... Anyone???????

The factory center block will not clear a 4.10 gear in some cases. You can grind on it slightly to get past the ring gear or you can buy the paddle kit, or you may get lucky and have it fit in.

Thanks for the link to the thread. I had seen it but never botherd to look further as it looked like it was all about axle leaks and how to fix. So I may not need to use the paddles at all. They came with the kit when I ordered
it so I will wait and see.
Thanks

I put motive 4.10's in mine and didn't need the paddles. I may have been just lucky though.

What would the 4.10s do to otherwise stock 3.42 M6. I would think they would really wake the car up??????

i broke an axel and my carrier the other day and the new carrier must me a little different because the block or pin in the middle hits the gear just a little

I love it. It really is a night and day difference. I am mostly stock and it seems like a whole new car. Best mod so far!

I only had to grind the paddle a little bit as you can see on the right end.

I did that grinding for my AAM 3.73s. The Motive 4.10s are chamfered and required no additional grinding to fit. You can see the chamfer below.

you will absolutely fall in love with the 4.10s as everyone else did. tractions a lil tricky, but it pulls like a mother when it hooks. i even had some 4.10s in my 95 a4 z28 with a 3500 stall. even got 20mpg on the highway with those in an auto.
