430 & 456 guys just would like to to know with those gears what cams are you all running and tire size. curious to see how most like it and plan on changing up etc.. oh do you still drive around the city like interstate at what speed thankx.(430 and bigger sorry forgot to say)
I have 4.30's in my 9". At 75 MPH in 6th I am at 2150 RPM with 295/35/18's in the rear.
I am putting some PRC stg 1.5 heads and a 230/232 cam in with a fast 90/90 in next week I'll keep you posted. I will have to see if I need a taller tire at the track or not. I am hopeing that I can keep my 26" tall tire and not have to go to 28".

so what about 4.56 in 6th gear... RPM's??? does it make the top 3 gears much more usable.... i have a pretty huge cam and i am looking to wake up my mid range which is really flat.... before i go with my 9" want to decide on some gears... 4.30 or 4.56's.

they way people talk around here like you should not get bigger than a 410 or you will need a trailer thats why i made this post some people might wanna know just like i do.
Are you an A4 or M6?...Look at posts #3 and #4 man. Doesnt sound like trailer RPMs to me as long as you are M6. If you are A4...4.10s will bring you closer to 2800-3000 at 70, so i could see 4.30s or 4.56s being trailer for an auto.

finally installed my 9 inch with adj t arm tunnel brace set up. it was a bitch to anyone out there i know they must have a easy way. and i still have stock LCa waiting on some adj ones rear went up fine.hopefully i be done in a week or less with car so i can hit the dyno
