what gear ratio?

what gear ratio? I tried a search already but no luck. My brother has a 1993 Z28 M6 that came stock with 3.23 gears. He is running 17x9.5's ZR1's. They are wrapped in Nitto NT555's 275/40 R17. I did the driveshaft and wheels test. Driveshaft spun 3 1/4 turns to 1 tire/wheel revolution. Lug nut was marked and driveshaft also. On the highway @ 70 mph, engine spins @ 2000 rpm roughly in 6th gear. What gears would he have?

To know for shore,you just need to take the cover off and count the teeth and divide them in to each other , Like if its a 4:10 you should have 40 on the ring gear and 10 on the pinion gear.
If you turn the axle one full turn and count how many time the drive shaft turn will get you real close ,if its a 4:10 it should turn 4 full turns and 1 tenth. and a 3:73 should turn right at 3-3/4 turns . Hope this helps

You definitely answered your question by rotating the driveshaft and seeing how many turns it took to turn the wheels once. When I did this in my new Strange 12-bolt, it took just over 4 turns of the pinion yoke to gets the axles to turn once (4.11s).
