I have a 3.5" ACPT in my '00 (I seem to recall paying about $600 for it including all the top grade hardware.) It handles transbrake launches with 525 RWHP just fine. I'm pretty sure it could handle clutch dumps too.

I also have a 3" ACPT in my '02. It has about 70,000 miles on it now (it's been in three different F-bodys of mine) and no telling how many low 10 to 11 second passes.

No complaints here about C/F shafts.

Torsionally CF shafts are durable. I was told if say a rock hits the side of them it will fracture very easily so they weren't recommended for street use. We have a lot of CF stuff at work at if you load it in a direction that it was not meant to be it basically falls apart.

Is CF a good idea on a street car?
