Default 3.73 gears

does anybody know what the mph of a 6 spd with 3.73 gears does at 5500 rpm from 1st gear to 4th? how many rpms are u at when ur going about 70-75mph in 6th gear. last but not least if i were to have about 330-340 rwhp with 3.73 gears would i have a high chance of snapping my stock rearend.

thanks for ur time and answers

i have an a4 so i cant help much , but in response to :

i dont think you would damage the rear , unless you were hard launching alot ( dumping the clutch @ high rpms ) with drag radials or slicks just my opinion bdawg

I'm right about where you are powerwise and have broken my stock rearend twice now. Getting a 12-bolt next. However, I have the 4.11 gears. When I add the 12-bolt I getting the 3.73 bc I will be getting a h/c package next, just better road manners when you are pushing 450-70 rwhp.

with my 3.73's-m6,i was at 1,500-1,600 at 70mph.at 80mph i was on 2,000rpms.running the 4th mile i THINK i crossed the traps at 5,600-5,700rpms in 4th.if you lonch the car hard(4,000-5,000rpms)on sticky tires,YES you can break the rear.keep lonches below 3,500rpms and the rear will last longer, but not forever. goodluck to ya.
