98 ls1 6 speed camaro 401 rwhp w/381fpt i would like to replace my factory rearend what shoud i go with and how long will my factory rear last if i buy drag ra tires

knooks stainless long tubes w/y pipe with cut outs
ls6 clutch
blue maxx 90 tb ported by vengence
fast 90 mm intake
slp lid
hooker performance mufflers
411 gears with factory rearend
dyno jet tunning
asp pulley belts and bolts
vengence racing built this car i dont no what all they did to it bought the car as it is. i no they left the bottom end stock

It depends on how you drive it. If you go to the track and start dropping it at 4k+ rpm's then its probably not going to last too long. If you do alot of roll racing or get it moving before you whack it it will probably last for forever. It all depends on how you drive it. Some guys run in the 10's, some guys break it with stock power.

Your rearend will not last long if you really start beating on it. The level of the build will dictate what rearend you go with. I would suggest going with a Moser 9". I have one and love it.

I got a '98 z28 and i was down att the sītrip and made some hevay runs, and now hell has brake lose in the axle.. sounds like the devil.. but it is still driveable.

A lot of people have broken the 10 bolt powershifting into 2nd gear on the street with regular street tires. With a six speed don't expect it to last.
