Default How hard is it to change the rear end gears?
How hard is it to change the rear end gears? I had a local shop change my gears 3 times and everytime the gears whine. I did follow the break in procedures. Is it possible for me to do myself or do you need special tools?

A Chevrolet dealership did my gears, they came out perfect the second time around, not one hint of a noise.

You do need special tools, but if you invest in them once and do the job twice they paid for themselves.
