Default Any one have any info on this 9" third member housing

I have been wanting to get a 9" for along time but theres just been no way I can come up with that much money. So I've decided to get the housing/axle package and I have a friend with a ton of stock 9" parts. I've heard good and bad about the stock units but nothing is bullet proof. I was thinking about taking one of his center sections and just having it freshened up by a local guy. Then I seen this. http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=6528 Any info on this peice? Thanks

A nodular iron case from a reputable manufacturer (Strange) would work fine for you and cost much less than this NASCAR piece.

Yeah, you can get a Strange "N" case for 230.00, then spool it with a good set of gears of your choice, this would be the cheapest way & you''ll have a good 3rd. member. you'll need a bearing kit, yoke, pinion support, gears, spool.
