B4C package rear diff question
B4C package rear diff question I was looking at Motive Gears website and they list a 4.56 gear for the stock 10 bolt but the carrier cross pin must be modified. It has a note though that for ws6 and ss models they use a torsen type differential that uses a block and paddle that you can't modify the pin. I have a 99 camaro with the B4C package I was wondering if it might have that torsen type since it was a police car. Does anyone know?

when you try to put the thrust block back into the torsen after swaping to 4.56 gears it will get hung up on the ring gear because the 4.10, 4.30 & 4.56 ring gears are thicker than 2.73, 3.08, 3.23, 3.42, 3.55, 3.73 & 3.90's
Just look at where the interferance is and grind that much material off the thrust block, its not much, just like 0.125 x 45 chamfer, maybe even less.
