Hand brake cable brackets. I've seen another guy here weld that on and I thought it was a great idea.

I'm guessing that since he's doing this at home, powdercoating was not a viable option.

Looks great for sure.

Thanks. The breakin period will be tough.

Anyway, the painting is completed and the bolts are pushed thru.

Tomorrow, the old 10 bolts comes off.

Wanted to get some stuff welded on before the powder coat and it wouldn't have been possible. Also, the powdercoating is a bit expensive compared to paint. Especially when you cross stuff over the border. Everything gets amplified price wise. I guess you can call me cheap.

Old 10 bolts is out of the Hawk. Center section and TQ arm support are installed. There is no hole on the axle end for me to toghten up the brake backing plates. Is that normal? How will I be able to tighten those up tomorrow?

I just tightened the brake plate bolts as tight as I could with a regular combo wrench but I did clean the threads well with carb cleaner and red lock-tighted the hell out of them. Not sure how tight I got them, maybe 20 ft lbs.....as tight as I could by hand with the wrench riding side saddle on the bolt head.

Hmmm moser finally started to make there lower control arm mounts longer and they have 3 holes in there now so you dont need relocation brackets. I havent seen that before.

Same problem on the backing plates. Remove your E-Brakes and use an open end wrench, makes it ALOT easier. lethal93ta...Moser started doing it literally a week after I received mine...

The control arm relocation brackets became an option from Moser last Fall, and I highly recommend them to everyone. Bob

OMG That thing is heavy.

Stock 153 LBS.
9" is 208 LBS.

Both dry with brake backing plates and the TQ arm bracket installed on the 9".

I actually thought the 9" was heavier then that so I am pleasantly suprised. I know when I was pulling out the 10 bolt and swinging the 9 up under the car I thought..."Holy **** this thing is way more heavy". I thought for sure the 9" was at least 250lbs..... The side by side comparison between the two is just funny......the 10 bolt looks like it should be in a go-kart or 4 wheeler when comparing the two....

I noticed yours has the aluminum center, mine is the nodular iron so thats probably 20lbs alone...
