I voted yes. I have one on our stalled, sprayed auto. It came on the car, but i think its a little added stability for the main caps. Like was stated before, the stock rear can live a little easier behind an auto, than it can a 6 speed.

just my personal opinion.

Come on now I have had my 10 bolt stock gears and a girdle go a 1.71 60' and 10.5@136mph making 605rwhp. I would say that girdle has helped me a little. also I had a different 10 bolt with 4.10s and the girdle when I was just a bolt on car go a 1.6 60' and 11.9@117mph and broke the posi unit not the gears. I think the girdle will help and the mojority of the problem with failing 10 bolts is improper setup.

every little bit helps a 10 bolt! as does a quality ring gear, weld the axle tubes to the housing, high quality 28 spline axles, solid bearing spacer instead of a crush sleeve (pinion gear is known to walk up the ring gear, and is a design flaw) change the diff cross pin to one made out of Zytanium.
