Who has the best 6L80E Transmission?
I have a 2014 Camaro SS, I have been is the 9s with this car and recently it's been fighting me tooth and nail when I try to go deeper into the 9s. Last race we were at we tried to make improvements to the 60 foot while making shock adjustments, ride height adjustments to get more squat ect and no luck car runs dead 9.90s. My tuner came to the track to data log it, after the pass he was able to tell me that the Transmission is on it way out. I'm looking for a Transmission that keeps the stock daily driving ability but be able to hold between 1000 to 1400 rwhp. Any ideas of where I could find this would be a great help. Thank you

1000-1400hp and its running 9.9's? I've seen 6L's from just about everyone (Circle-D, Century, ATI, etc) and they all need some love over 1000hp. Maybe someone else can build one that will last at that level but they are few and far between.
You looked into a trans swap? Some guys swap 6L90's for a little more strength, otherwise swap it out for a 3/4 speed unit that can take the abuse for a lot longer between rebuilds.

From what I gather, Century has led the way with building 6l80s. Other well know companies like RPM wont even touch them. No matter what builder it is they so no to a 1000hp build unless you want to build it all over again really soon. I'v heard 950hp tops. Maybe some things have changed these past few years but IDK about that.

Thank you for the insight And help I reached out to Tim King at TK Performance he has a max effort transmission he said should help solve my transmission problems. Thinking I'm going to go that route and see if we can get this car into the low 9s.

Tim King is a good guy, he has a c7 that's been well into the 8s though he put a powerglide in it.
Century has been around a long time, not sure if they have the rep, I know Rick Crawford and Justin Covington have been mid low 8s with a 6L80E.

Mr King said his transmission should handle the power im throwing at it and a little more seems like he is the only one really diving into that transmission.

Another option that you can consider is going with the 6L90 instead of the 6L80.
My 6L90 is still bone stock except for the Circle D triple disk converter. Been 5 years now, no issues so far. I've been up to 1100 RWHP so far on a dynojet.
