I doubt they will sell a V8 in a trim that's not Z28 or SS. They're still going to have V6 cars that will have the LS and LT designations since they won't do away with the V6. Wouldn't make sense to have a V8 as an option on LT trim with no SS and then have the supercharged Z28. That would a very strange decision.

Please tell me you are not serious. The ZR-1 is a state of the art race car. The carbon fiber paint alone on it is expensive as hell. Then get into the braking upgrades, handling, power you can explain the 40k. The Z06 is fast as hell straight but hard as hell to drive on course runs. The ZR-1 was the fix for that. You wont see a 7.22 Nurburgring lap time out of the Z-28. Man that is a very apples to oranges comparison.

Math is taking a serious hit these days...
$45k sticker!!!??? Are you serious guys!?
This car is not being built to compete with a loaded Mustang GT... this is to compete with a GT500. If you don't grasp this then I don't know what to say.
Like every other person who posted USING THEIR BRAIN, give or take $1K to the GT500 price. (And don't forget to factor in the increased "Cost of Living")

I'm going to go with $55k at least. Think of it this way, the base Camaro SS is priced about $5k over a loaded Mustang GT, loaded SS ~$10k. This car will be priced within $10k of a loaded GT500 (which the base model is pretty loaded -nav is all).
If it's priced in the low-mid $40's, there will be one sitting in my driveway. Otherwise, I will be driving a GT500 for my next car.
