This is why the GT is the faster car. Hopefully when GM changes the platform the pendulum will swing back in favor of the camaro. Until then you need to make as much power as you can afford to keep the edge. Right now its the only choice you have.
And also the fact that they used a IRS. IRS is reputably sucky for drag racing. I would love to see one of these on a solid rear axle... And for god sakes, I am waiting for the day that cars come from the factory with nittos on them....

True dat, I wonder what the difference in weight would have been with a solid axle. That would be a superb aftermarket upgrade there.

I would love to see that.

I don't know much about all the technical aspects of the car and axle, but I got a feeling that swapping out axles would be a horrible b!tch in this car and require so much money and time that it wouldn't be worth it.... I just got a feeling this whole car is designed around the IRS, and putting in a solid axle would just.... mess something up.

Headers, tune, CAI would be what I need to simply catch up to an LS3.

This is why I'm saving up for a single turbo 625rwhp@6.5psi I'm going to have me some fun.

300rwhp a6 is by far nothing of the numbers we're seeing.

Camaro5.com, hop over and check out the a6 numbers. 90% are anywhere from 320-340.

Unless your definition of performance has nothing to do with ET then they do not have the highest performance per dollar.
Sky the limit...

If it were me, I would go Cobra. Cheaper initial cost. I would have to swap in a stalled A4 though.
exactly, or a th400.

im not happy with its weight but ill live with it. its a great overall car.
I see on an average day 5-6 new Camaros being driven around,
and each one is driven by a woman, half are v-6, the rest 8.

Just depends where you are. I've seen about 3 in one day, at most.... Yesterday I saw one, today i have seen none... They're not as common as most people think. Just because 90,000+ have been sold doesn't mean they are everywhere.... Remember we're in a country of 310million... Just do the math.

But I do see about 15 mustangs an hour, a cobra here and there, and a gt500 atleast once a day.
