4th Gen vs. 5th Gen profile comparo. *pic*

I love my 4th gen, but it just doesn’t do what the 5th gen does in stock form. The ride isn’t comparable. Power is all there with the 5th gen., and this is with the 5th gen torque managed and awful 3:23 rear. All we have is an 1/8th mile track. A couple days after we got the 5th gen. I took it to see what it would do. It ran 9.0’s which isn’t something to write home about, but this car was fresh off the show room floor. If a stocker 4th is going to do better than that, it isn’t going to be by much and before I start getting blasted by people saying how slow the 9.0’s are know that this track is not top notch and I have seen modded LS cars run high- mid 8’s here with mods. My 4th gen. is much faster, but it has all kinds of crap done to it. I personally will not do anything to the 5th gen. for a while, it’s my wife’s DD and so I can’t comment on how they react to the same mods, but this whole comparison thread is a little confusing to me. Other than cosmetics, which is purely opinion, in what ways does the 4th gen come close to the 5th. I can’t think of anything that my 4th does better than my 5th.

Personally I love all kinds of muscle cars, even some stangs.. I would just never own one cuz I am a GM guy! If I see one done up right though, I wont hesitate to check it out.

Actually ya, people that have nothing but negitive things to say about something that another person is proud to have is being a douche. I dont care that you dont have any interest in 5th gens, then why post crap about how great your ride is and mine sucks if you dont have interest. I actually think your car is pretty kick ***... I dont have a problem with what you think about 5th gens, being a dick is what I have a problem with. Either way I am way over the hole thing, happy with what I have... end of story! You can **** talk me or my ride all you want, I dont plan on going anywere buddy... its just the internet and dealing with *** holes is part of life

Hey, there's nothing wrong with that! I love my camaro but If could afford a c6 zo6 I would trade up in hart beat! I dont think I would trade up for a base even though there still much faster, when I do get a vette again... I am going big dog style

I'm really curious to see how people like the 5th gen 10 years from now. This is usually the enthusiasts if anyone at this point, and the enthusiasts are not huge fans of the car.

Really, I am enthusiast and I love this car! Lets see, I have had 6 classic cutlass supremes all built, 4 camaros, an SS truck, a c5 vette and who knows what else. Thats all I drive is gm muscle, even in the winter! The only way I am selling is for a zo6 like stated above! Other then that, there is nothing I would rather have at this point and its been over a year with this car.

Daaaaaaamnnn, everyones a hater on everything. Ha. I hate all Camaros.
JKJK to me the 4th gen is a better looking car. I just like the lower and lighter feel to it. Plus it pushed around 350 and for a 10 year old car I think thats pretty respectable. Once I get money for some bolt Ons ill be near that 5th gen power output. But i also like the 5th gen body style and it still looks killer, but it does kinda remind me of being like Fat Albert when the 4ths remind me of the Blue Angels

I guess, I go to shows all the time and people with other cars there seem to like to talk cars with me and ask about what I got done to it all the time. Just sayin, actaully most of the time its 4th gen owners that come up ask about it! For as many haters there are allot of people that love them.
