A real Camaro has T-tops and weighs less than 3800lbs.

The new Camaro is an awesome ride don't get me wrong. But it was geared towards the average ******** who watches mainstream **** movies like Transformers so that it would sell so I'll never buy one (that and the interior is hideous). Kudos to GM for putting something out that sells. I guess they figure they have us performance guys covered with the Vette if we want something lighter. To all you guys bitching about the 4th gen technology vs. the 5th gen.. a 4th gen with a nice double din for the Monsoon system and a remote start is more than enough technology for me. I don't need heated seats in a freakin' Camaro you shouldn't be driving them in the winter anyway.

 

Thats for sure, but over on C5, we have this bonehead from New Jersey who has been banned a dozen times but he just keeps coming back.

 

********* huh? Did the original camaro's come with t-tops? Ya know back in 67...... You are clearly biased towards the 4th gen, and thats cool. You are saying "5th gen guys" as we are all the same. Its not about the creature comforts for me, its the overall driving experience. I have a 1ss, cloth interior, as basic as it comes. It performs well reguardless of what it weighs, looks good, rides good, has awesome brakes, very safe with all the air bags (yep I care cause I have kids), and it is very quiet in the cabin. Its good that you are happy with your car, I'm happy with mine as well. Thanks for stopping in with your super awesome opinon and smart *** comments towards the folks that enjoy their 5th gens. You certainly have it all figured out

 

BTW 02FirehawkT/A.....if you are in the south and your mods are accurate in your sig, I'd be happy to meet up with you and run you. I've got a $100 that says with your ride with a cai, ram air, lt's, and catted y pipe, I'd hand you your *** with lt's and tune only in my "overweight" "mainstream" l99/auto pig.

 

You're right, they didnt come in 67's. But they were in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gens, so I guess they were available in more years than not.

 

i hafe never understand what the fuzz is about the T tops, never liked them, i've owned two hardtops, and two t tops.

Average ********? I had T-tops in my 4th because I couldn't find one without them, they are cool for 15 minutes. 5th gen interior is hideous compared to the 4th? That's truly laughable.

Show me a 4th gen auto with tune and headers that is that quick. It's nothing special by any means, but its quick for what it is.

 

Uhmm...yea it's going to take a little more to get a 4th gen to be as fast as that. Those cars only have a 6.2 in them vs. the 5.7 if someone was to put a nice stall with a tune and headers, or even a six-speed with minimal mods would make you think twice about your statement...For that matter mine is very close to that, and I beat 6.2's all the time by about 3 cars from a dig in the quarter. They tend to pull back past 120 tho.

 

The guys that keep saying the 4th gen is more muscle car this car feels like much more of a muscle car, it's bigger has more weight, with a big *** hood view and a bigger engine! The 4th gen don't feel like muscle cars to me, they have more of a sporty feel and without a big *** hood to look at just killed the feel of the car for me. All my oldsmobiles and my 80 Camaro had a monster hood to look at from the driver seat and heavy feel to them. The hood view from the driver seat and the feel of a 5th gen is as muscle as it gonna get in any late model car. All the extra tech in the car goes with the fact that it's 10 years newer.

 

5th gens ride like caddys from the 90s. They don't feel very muscle car because of that (to me anyway). Solid MMs a drag bar and a poly trans mount changed the feel immensely though.. lol. Cowl shake ftw.

FWIW the real reason the 5th gen is better is the passenger floorboard. It's true.

 

More impressive than a 540 tire HP gutted race car running 10.60's

Oh and t-tops are for rednecks and mullets.
