Default PRC 250CC aftermarket castings/g6x3 cam 505rwhp/464rwtq

Car is wicked fast. 505RWHP 464 RWTQ

7200 RPM rev limiter. Car didnt start dropping hp until about 65-6600 rpm

Driveability is decent enough. It obviously does not like to be driven with the clutch out at parking lot speeds etc. It will buck slightly in too high of a gear if rpms drop below 1800 or so. Other than that I can live with it just fine. 1st and 2nd gear are useless even with my 305 555r drs. Not much traction in second even from a 40-50 roll.

Detect a slight power loss from bolt on form up to maybe 3k rpm or so. It comes on so quick it doesnt really bother me. Cant notice a drop off in power SOTPants until about 6600rpm. So just like the graph would indicate.

Slightly less than what I expected (was thinking ~530rwhp). But the dyno may be conservative. He said T-rex ls1 cammed cars have never hit 440rwhp on his dyno.

And the graph

Great numbers but too much of a sacrifice in driveability for me. If it bucks and surges and dies at stop lights it isnt much use as a street car but it isnt hardcore enough for a full on race car.

Still stock. Just waiting for it to go. I plan on getting the mcleod RXT or ZL1 clutch to replace it.

Have you ever had a cammed car? I had a 228/230 cam in my 4th gen...no cammed car I have seen can be driven at 5 mph with the clutch out in 1st gear. Maybe a very small cam...but then whats the point?

It is totally fine at stop lights with the clutch in. It is fine everywhere as long as you dont lug it down below 1800 or so.

some driveability will be sacrificed. you just need a competent tuner and decide how you can deal with.

Yep I have had a cammed car. I kept it mild a 218/220 .570/.585 Lingenfelter grind with a 114 LSA. This was in an auto car with a 3200 stall. and it was also my daily driver ant it would roll at idle at abot 5mph. Like I said in my original reply that I wouldnt put up with it. Just to much of a driveablity sacrifice for my taste. Personally I would rather go mild NA and add more HP in later with spray of FI. Maybe I am getting old.

Cool man...we all have our own tastes. Yes a 218/220 is a tiny cam...that should have drivebility like stock.

From my own personal experience...once you get to about 228-230 duration and above you will starft having low rpm driving problems. I am not very picky though. I honestly could even deal with a bigger cam than this lol.

Good numbers but aren't the 2" primaries overkill?

On a stock ls3 they make more power than a 1 7/8. Should be great for his combo.

Cam sounds ridiculous, I love it.

What are the specs of that cam?

Love what you do with it mph-wise at the track.

It is the LG g6x3...they dont publish specs on it. I have done some research and a couple claim to have cam dr'ed it/found out the specs.

It is in the neighborhood of ~235/~242 .6xx/.6xx and the lsa is a 110 or 111
