No more catching air and slowing the car down. Besides, the rearend looks far better this way. Side benefit is another 6 pounds of weight gone. 15 minutes with a die grinder and some minor trimming of the inner support

Does that diffuser even weigh 6lbs as a whole? They seem to be lightweight plastic.
