Im glad to see so many people like the new Camaro..cuz when they jump from thrir tricked out 02's Im gonna get a really nice deal on a kick *** 02

GM styling lately sucks..its (the Camaro) supposta be a sports minded car not a 4d door coupe...For my eye the only car that looks like a sports car lately is teh Mustang....ford got the styling right!

Compare the C5 and C6..oh sure the C6 has the technological edge..but in styling....sorry no contest!

i will prolly hold out a year and get an SS model. why you ask? bc SS models make you feel all warm and toasty inside.

Now here's a man with a good eye & willin to tell the truth !
The 98-02 camaro's look waaaay better than that monstrosity coming in 2009 , if it makes it at all !
And the C5 proportions look waaaay better than the chopped off rear end of th C6 & we won't even mention the phuckin front end.

The Challenger looks cool plus it hasn't had a lineage for a long time so....they are welcome to go as retro as they want in my book....but YOU know Dodge....they never give a damm about gas efficiency....I'll take a Vette over a Viper any day.

Chevrolet has a better grasp of performance and efficiency. Dodge thinks the world is a Nascar track. MPG is an unknown term in their R&D departments.

I just hope the aftermarket can close the gaps, like that damn grill. That's the only part of the car I cannot get passed for some reason.

I'll be waiting a couple years, like before.

Any GM folks listening?
I was in high school when the 68 SS Chevelle came out and got everyones attention. We couldn't wait for the "new" 69 camaro after this. The new 70's showed up at the dealers and we would watch as they were unloaded off the trucks. The new models were shipped shrouded to help hype the new models. We loved em and these cars all became classics because they were fun to drive and had a style and performance all their own. I still think the 69 camaro was the best looking and a 69 Z28 camaro was a dream for many of us at the time. Since then, I have owned both good and bad GM cars, 69 vette, a 72 Vega(you should burn in hell for that disaster GM), 82 Trans Am, and now my 98 Z vert, which was the first GM car since the 60s that gave me a rise. Old fashioned, American Grunt at a good price and the damned thing has been BULLET PROOF!!! The original proto of the camaro that the high school kid drew up was more camaro like, and I think looked the best. I think the new 09 or whatever year they say it will be here, Camaro, is too cadillac angular. I think the Challenger is more true to its roots, but am not a real Mopar guy(but could be if the have a vert before the camaro does!!)

As for the "GM execs", build us exciting, AMERICAN, muscle, that is dependable and affordable and we will COME!!! Don't cater to the bean counters, don't be JAPANESE, be proud of our American Autombile heritage and build American cars with QUALITY and STYLE... PS pls drop all of the crappy plastic !!

How many times are the same americans going to go thru mid life crisis stage? The 05+ platform has bombed in sales because of the fad, The challenger and camaro might get the *** end of it...
