I just sat in the RS & SS they had on display at the NY Auto Show. UGH! Sorry, it's an ugly car in & out. Looks too bulky & boxy. Why couldn't the do what was done with the Challanger & Mustang? They look like the originals.

LOVED sitting in the Trailblazer SS-too bad they pulled the plug on the series.

Hated sitting in the dumdumdumdum Jeep.

The Challenger is too narrow IMO, looks awkward from the front and behind. The profile is sexy - just needs to be faster and not handle like a tank.

 

I would buy a vette (c5,c6) before a 2010 camaro.I'm glad they are making it,but I think they have that yuppie chunkie look.I think my 4th gen t/a looks way better.l don't care for them that much and wouldn't spend my money on one.Life is a matter of taste.If you like it ,buy it (why not).
The challenger is also a yuppie chunkie mobile.The old ones look better.

I used to hate the '10 Camaro.
Now, the car is kinda growing on me. I'm not a big fan of the rear end, but I like the car overall.

 

I don't like it in general... but I think the front looks worse than the back. Neither is good. Maybe it will improve IF it lives long enough to see a makeover.

 

I've seen this car close up, and It is beautiful! Have anyone else seen it close up?

 

I saw it at the auto show last year... I was not impressed.... at least at it's appearance.

 

I absolute love them. Awesome looking and best of the new retro cars by far. Make mine an inferno orange metallic SS!

PS- it also blows away the mustang and challenger in terms of value. Check out the new issue of Motor Trend and look at the performance numbers vs the price as tested.

Challenger RT (ugly boat) $38k 376/410

You are talking over 100 more HP than then mustang GT which was $3k more! And I think the Camaro looks better too.

 

Oh.... I will grant you... it looks better than a Mustang.

Just not better than a 4th gen Camaro or Trans Am, g8, or Corvette.

 

I like the New Camaro alot! But I like the look of 4th gen. F-bodys more. I have still have people come up to me at gas stations asking me what kind of car is that or i wish them Camaro SS would have been cheaper i would have bought one back then. Maybe i just need to see one or drive one to get the feel for them. But then when i see on here that one runs 13.0's, i think of 03-04 Cobra's beating them and i just can't live with that.

 

I like the 4th gen fbody's too, but I think the 2010 camaro trumps them from top to bottom. Looks aside (which is purely opinion), stock for stock, driver for driver, a 4th gen can't hang with the 2010 in either a straight line or a corner.

 

I'll give you that one EASY.... 4th gens are built with technology that dates back 98,93 and even 1982. (Floor plan as pointed out by 6LE)

Just imagine... how AWESOME of a car a 4th gen would be with 5 gen technology running under the hood!!!!!

Not to mention all those extra air-bags!!!!!!

im not a fan of the retro looking cars coming out of the big three, and to me th 2010 is not a true camaro, as it is not an f-body

i went to the local dealer today to take a look at one and as i was walking up to it it really didn't scream anything at me, it just looked like any other coupe on the road. i don't like how tall and skiny the car is. as i was standing next to the 2010 i look over at my camaro and it is sitting low and wide looking like its going to mess someones day up.

idk but im not a fan, about the only thing i really liked is that the seats are much more comfortalbe then the 4th gens

 

That is why you have aftermarket parts.

 

I looked at the new camaro at a dealer in Northridge,Ca.(Rydell). I didn't like the pictures I saw in Hot Rod magazine.Now that I have looked at it up close,I think it's even more ugly than the pictures.I hate everything about it.It looks like a big fat yuppie mobile.The interior really suckes too.I don't like anything about it.It was a Black one,maybe it will look better in another color.What were they thinking.The vette looks way better.
