Not so sure I like that half of the front intake surface area of the intercooler is blocked off by the front bumper. I see people drilling holes in the front bumper.
But that is probably better than ATI's design where they placed the intake air filter air right above the exhaust manifold. That the hottest area in the engine bay in an F-body and don't see how it would be any different in the 2010. And even if it's not, the best source of air to the motor isn't in the engine bay.

I made the assumption (my bad) based on Vortech's description of their system as cold air ducting. But you might be correct if their description that says it has a source of (cold air) to the charger is not really cold air (ambient) and is from the engine bay instead.
My comments were a comparison of how each appears to get fresh air to the charger. Vortech's orginal design if I am not mistaken did not have an intercooler so it's hard to imagine they would make the same mistake again by designing a system that gets intake air that is elevated over ambient if it comes from inside the engine bay.
