How long do you expect this thing to live at 630rwhp?

I thought the "safe limit" of the LS3 was up around 550-575rwhp.....

We've built several LS-Series vehicles at this power level and have yet to have a failure.

We have a customer with an LS2 A6 auto Vette that we built as soon as he got it (less than 100) miles and it now has over 30,000 hard, hard miles at 661 RWHP. When the customer bought the car, he said he bought it to play at the street races and you'd never know it makes the kind of power it does and it takes a lot of money on the streets

Interesting. Any other stories of long life at over 600rwhp?

The reason I ask is that I have heard of several accounts of blown LSX motors after 4, 6, 8k miles at over 600rwhp and these were well built, street driven cars with safe tunes.

While the car I mentioned is probably the best example, we have several 600+ RWHP cars out that with a lot of miles. Another friend of mine had a stock bottom end TT LS1 that made 640 RWHP/640 RWTQ and it had over 20,000 miles when he sold it and to my knowledge is still living at that power level.

Having a camshaft in the vehicle is the key to making over 600whp safely. But its all in the tune. I have done a few without a failure. Even just turned up a 03 z06 that is bone stock with a aps kit. He road races the car on top of alot of street driving. I never thought it would last this long. 2.5 years ago it make 620whp and now 660whp @13psi with meth. If a ls1/ls6 cam hold it a ls3 has no problem.
