Was talking elsewhere on this but I think I am going Race star next. Weld is nice but more money...any brand I am missing? (Sub 2k for 17s front and 18s rear)

28" bias plys on front aired up tight and a 305/45 MT aired down to about 19-24 psi out back...spec says 28.9...but with the squat out front vs squat out back I would think it wouldn't trip sensors...it's not outside of a 6% window....more like 3%.
Anyone know?

bias 28s work fine with 305/45 mts, only the 26 radials trip the abs, because they actually sit around 25.5"

yup...working out final details...looks like Race Star Dark Stars coming soon! I'm doing 17x4.5 and 18x10.5 for now...my MT DR's (305.45) are flat out working and have half life left. This should give me more footprint vs on the 9.5" rim. Should also drop my front weight a lot.
I currently use TSW Nurburgring 18x8 and 9.5s with a 245/55 BFG out front and this same DR out back. (These are for sale btw...$1000 picked up or withing a couple hours drive -with front tires, no rear tires)
Front weight is 48.5...should drop 11-12lbs per front wheel/tire.

Mustang crew has been rolling them around on the street forever. They shouldn't be an issue. A skinny on the front is always something to be careful with though. I have 20" forgestars for street duty.

and there are some local 2013 GT500s that think they are the shizz that I plan on scaring the **** out of. I put 1.2 seconds on a couple at the local 1000' track last fall. It was priceless.

Yeah. Your just too slow....

Not sure why you would want an 18 when you can run a 17 in the Welds and save some weight. Also, M&H has a 26" tall skinny radial and MT is coming out with a 28" radial, but 130 MPH speed rating.

I ran the 26" tall on the street and had no issues other than taking some turns slow.

I just got a set of weld 17s on all four corners, and when those FNing 28 radial fronts get here, Ill be set!! Car will only see 130+ for short time.

And why don't you keep Pimping out your car and let us Gen5 racers conduct business??? (DON'T sell it, you just got done building it. Now its time to enjoy it!!)
