You really shouldn't bother posting when you have no idea what you are talking about. Check out the world around you next time, before you go running your mouth...

You have to remember there are a lot of idiots in congress, who don't give two ***** about how profitable the company is, as long as they get their 52 MPG mega-hybrid. The CAFE people, who keep threatening to increase standards sooner than though, don't realize that it takes years to design a car from scratch, ohh and lots of money, especially when the car has a high bench mark
And many major autosources have some report about the z28. One was never promised, but was designed by GM.
If the Camaro is a big hit, they might release the z28 a year or two down the road. God forbid GM builds a car they already designed, and could make money on when, when the government says "Those loans are our money, now make us a a dozen new hybrids"

**** Yes!
This car would be the ONLY reason I don't dump the rest of my salary this year into making my current Z28 faster. I've always said that unless they put out a new camaro to comete with the GT500 I refuse to buy one. I'm not dropping that kind of money for something that can barely outrun a Challenger... I can see it being worth it for the car though...

I think the reason it won't be released is that it will topple the LS3 vette and keep up with the Z06 which no one will buy because the camaro will perform a little too well.
Fully loaded LS3 vette or z/28 that will smoke it...
One or the other would have to go, it has always been that way.

here's a bit of irony for you...my old 1995 TA got around 27-28mpg highway even with the mods I had (bolt on's M6 car). I just bought a 1999 Honda Accord, 4 cylinder VTEC automatic for my daughter with all of 150hp and it gets all of 29mpg highway, 2mpg better than the TA for about 1/4 the car.
Even the Accord manual is rated at 31mpg.

I disagree. A vette is a vette. U take and LS3 vette and Z/28 and i guarentee that the vetter would run circles around it on a road coarse. Its not all about the straight line. "Most" people that buy a vette for performance reasons buy it because it is a true sports car. Also you have to look at the image it conveys. A 50 yr old with extra cash is going to buy an LS3 vette before a Z/28. A z/28 would not effect vette sales what so ever.

think about this guys....
If GM is smart (sales wise)....
they won't announce that the Z28 is in the works even if it is, because there are people on this board that will hold out for a Z28 over the SS's... Thus if they release it a year later, there will be people who will sell their 2010 SS for a 2011 Z28 (hence, GM gets 2 sales instead of one)
