Cliffs: CTS-V engine/trans. GM hesitant to build it due to current political climate.

Wow, love that Camaro! They need to build it in with serial numbers, price it around $50,000, and make 2,000 a year just like the ZR-1.

I see it hard for GM to see this car to the govt with all the trouble they are in, but I would love to see it made. If the 5th gen SS's do really well though, I could see this car coming out as GM would have evidence to backup up as to why the Z would be good for them. If they do make it in a couple years, I would have to get one IF the ecomomy is doing well enough when I graduate college and I get a good job haha.

I would buy a regular SS and make it better and faster for far less. It should be no more than 40k or it's not worth it, just like the GT500.

Why do people seem to always equate RWD with poor mpg

That z28 would be one heck of a car. Would be great to see one, ride in one, heck drive one (though that won't happen, not in my budget at least unless I got a whopper of a job).
