Default SLP Upgrades for 2010 Camaro!

Tom Henry / SLP Camaro mods preview

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scotts car at Tom Henry today. Notice stripes on left front fender, and PA Plate they put on it.
Notice SLP sent Tom Henry a letter that outlined 'SOME' upcoming parts:

Cat-back exhaust
Cold air induction
Long tube header system w/ x-pipe (V-8 only)
1.85 high ratio rocker arms (V-8 only)
25% underdrive pully/ balancer
Performance-optimized custom PCM tunes
Supercharger package (V-8 only)
OEM quality RTM hood with functional hood scoop
Duck tail spoiler
New grille

( My thoughts..... anybody read the Motor Trend magazine " The Z/28 returns... But"?... Considering SLP help bring back the SS starting in 96, i think they're going to help bring back the Z/28 for chevy. SLP's picture of they're optioned camaro in the pic really resembles Motor Trends Z/28.... It makes sense to have SLP do it, especially in these tough times for GM... And it'll save GM alot of money contracting the return of the Z/28. Not only does the SLP Camaro resemble the MT Z/28 on the outside but the fact SLP is offering a supercharger.....now that is just awesome and is another reason i think its going to be a Z/28 package from SLP.) What do you guys think?

I hope they call it the Z/28 like they used to call their Camaro the SS.

Ok ive been doing some browsing and i just noticed SLP is bringing back the Firehawk name back to Pontiac with the G8... i know, its probably old news but its been a while since ive been online... but this is making my prediction sound more realistic....to me anyway... i mean how could they bring back "Firehawk" to Pontiac and not do anything with Chevy?... They wouldnt do that... Watch you guys... the Z/28 is gunna return thanks to SLP...

Well for the Z28 I'm hoping for a LSA motor and a decent price. I think SLP went a little over board on the price of the Firehawk. Nobody needs a $60k Camaro right now.

The Firehawk option for the G8 cost a grand total of $23,990 with the Brembo brake package added. According to Camaro5.com the Camaro SS 2SS option will cost $33,430. Assuming the SLP options for the Camaro are the same and you opt for the Brembo brake upgrade too then the grand total of the maybe Z/28 would cost a grand total of $57,420. So 7998 ur on the money of $60k. So who would pay $60k for a Z/28?

I'm still waiting for GMMG to annouce their plans for the new Camaro. I'm surprised the new Tom Henry is being built by SLP and not GMMG like the 4th gens.

I love Z/28's, I own 2 of them and have owned 4 others, but I think they are pricing it out of where it should be. I think it would be better off having the LS7 in it putting out around 480hp or so.

Do you guys have any idea what they will charge for a Z/28 with the supercharged LS9 in it? It will be well over $50,000, for a freakin Camaro. Thats just retarded. I think having the LS7 would knock at least $10,000 off right there. Figure the pricing like this:

Base V-6= $22,995
Loaded V-6=$28,000
Base V-8= $29,995
Loaded V-8= $36,000
Z/28= $39,995 with the LS7, but snce they will put the LS9, add an easy 10 grand to that.

They will charge what Ford gets for a GT500 and what Chrysler gets for the Challenger SRT8, that's the competition.

Maybe so, but personally I would like to see 10,000 of them roaming the streets next year, popping up in the classifieds here on 'tech in 2011 for $25,000. If they are going to be over $50K initially, they won't sell more than 1,000 of them, and half of them that are sold will be to retards who will just store/collect them. It's a Z/28 for crying out loud.

Also; it wil kick the **** out the SRT8, heck, even the SS will smoke it. The GT500 will be more competition, but an LS7 motor would take care of that.
