that is crazy markup but right now they have everyone scared thinking gm might not make too many more of them. its almost criminal but what are you going to do.

that's why i said I am going to get a gxp. the interior is a whole lot better than the camaro and it still have the ls3/tr6060

LOL y'all dealers suck, mine is the biggest in LA and they are selling them for MSRP like you would built it on the site and have 38 deposits for cars already.

Here's a list of dealers at or below MSRP:

closest I saw for you was

Thank you for your interest in Dyer! Chevrolet. We are able to pre-order the 2010 Camaros. We would be happy to order the Camaro for you at MSRP. The manufacture is telling us they project 75% of Camaros to be the 6cyl model and the other 25% to be V8s/SS. The best way to gaurantee you get the exact car you want would be place an order with us, especially since the SSs might be hard to come by when they hit the lot. The only thing we would need would be a $500 refundable deposit so we can place the order with the factory. If you would like to proceed we need to go over all color and options you would like with the vehicle. Thank you for the opportunity to earn your business, and I look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,

John Dyer

When the new mustang came out dealers wanted 5k to 10k over sticker and now Ford has rebates on them. I would not buy a new camaro now.....the price will come down.

Was at a dealer nearby dealer Friday afternoon. They got 3 in Friday morning. Two (V6) sold in 10 minutes and the third (V8) was gone by Saturday A.M.

You might miss out waiting for a call. Might need to be more proactive. Just a suggestion.

I'm planning on waiting a year or so and picking up a used one. By then they should be going for around $25k or less for a used 2SS. i would never pay $40k for a Camaro, I can get a new C6 for that price or a nice used C6Z06.

This is exactly what they did to help kill the GTO at the dealerships. GM going bankrupt and killing us on the price of the new camaro right off the bat. Just pisses you off!! I`m waiting till next year to get one.

Can I tell a story here? Once upon a time (3years ago) a guy walked into the dealers office to sign paperwork on his new 80k Z06 that he waited 14mo. for. The salesman AND the sales manager offered this guy 10k to get up and WALK away from the deal. They had someone willing to pay God knows what for the damn thing. That same car would be worth about half right now, and u could buy brand new right now for 60k and they would beg u to do so and kiss your *** at the same time. True story

It's true that there is a sucker born every moment, are u one? Stay informed and be patient

I talked to John Dyer from Dyer Chevrolet he told me i would pay MSRP from them and no mark up but it would be a few months to get one and as soon as he gets the 4 SS's that are coming in 3 are for sale and 1 is for test rides he will let me take it for a good test ride and we talked for about a half about cars.Thats what i call a real dealership !!!!!
