MGW3,

Any updates? I really want to see it back together and I'm curious for dyno numbers and track times.

Just received my heads back from WCCH. These things look amazing!
They are fitted with new stainless valves and BTR .660 springs. Richard at WCCH did an amazing job on these heads. I cannot wait to get this motor running. The cam is a custom spec from Pat G. More updates to follow.

Here is a little update on my project. Engine is together and back in. Now I am going to clean up the wiring to the injectors and coil packs.

Where did you get the race baffles for oil pan and that radiator? I am building mine for track and Auto X but want to take every precaution as far as oil feed and cooling that I can.

Awesome job, the detail work you did on the engine came out amazing!

Any part numbers or further information on the upgraded transmission filter and transmission cooler? I need an upgraded cooler for my G8, and this is the first I've heard of the filter upgrade.

I MADE 719 rear wheel hp and my trans was fine as long as you get it tuned

The heads are not a good bang for the buck... kind of a waste of money... With forced induction guys making 750 rwhp with stock heads just upgraded parts and no porting

For transmission upgrades I changed to a high flowing filter. The inlet port is 3 times larger than sock. Also changed over to the B&M trans pan. It hold an additional 1.7 quarts of ATF. I have the Flex-a-lite trans cooler up front. It does not run through the radiator.

In my opinion one of the biggest factors in keeping the 6L80 alive is a proper tune. Mine was done by Pat G. and it performs flawlessly.

Getting to 500RWHP N/A with stock heads through an automatic is not easy. Not a waste of money at all in my opinion.
