Yea, but the camaro is, and has always been the poor mans sports car. Its a hellova car, for a non vette price. A 30k dollar camaro that is slightly slower than a 50k dollar vette... Sounds like a good deal to me.

maybe if the car looks nothing at all like it does now i might consider it, and if it is 20k-25k for a z28 and 25-30k for an ss option.

I do not like any of the retro cars Mustang, Challenger, or Camaro. If I were in the market I would take the GTO and maybe add a Holden front bumper.

How soon they forget (or in you're case didn't even know). I have an original full page advertisement for the 67 Camaro SS that states, "Poor man's Vette?" at the top of the page. I have a 67 RS/SS big block car and have collected quite a few sales items in the last 25-30 years.

If they do indeed make a new Camaro I will purchase one. I will also keep the 3 that I currently own.

Pardon me, beautiful vert, but why does it have SS 396 on the grill and RS badging on the fender. Also, why does this car (looks to be a 67) have a 68 RS grill? And why sombrereo caps vs flat caps? A little bit of mix and match? Sorry, but I'm a big time 1st gen fan and seeing stuff done wrong (badging and grill, clones are ok if they are done right) just kinda irks me.

I will not buy the '09 Camaro. I'm sure the production car will look better, without the SUV wheels and chopped top, but I'm a Pontiac guy. I have a feeling the next gen GTO will be more desirable to me.

If they slap the rumored 6.2L 600hp LS9 in it, I'll be putting down a deposit to get one of the first ones available.

Not a big fan of the retro thing. I'll have to see it in person before I decide though.

Default It will be turned into an electric car by 2009

if it is even built at all.... Gas will be $15.00 a gallon and you will have to have a government stamp from Saudi to even purchase it..

depends on the engine type included. If it's powerful enough, then yes, if not I'll get a vette or another fbod and do a blown/turbo stroker.

I like it, I would consider buying one as long as they change the interior and keep it IRS, if they put a solid rear in it I would never ever consider buying one.

RS was a trim package, any car could have it. It's a RS/SS 396

Also, why does this car (looks to be a 67) have a 68 RS grill?
doesnt look chrome to me.

And why sombrereo caps vs flat caps?
a wheel option. there were at least 4 (wire hubcaps included believe it or not)

that's an original sales ad.. you're nitpicking it as if it was modded? wtf?

i'll probably pick up a new camaro once they're available and i've graduated college in 2 yrs.. I know the interior wont look like that, and it'll have plenty of power, and the exterior is HOT. I dont see it as being very retro..
