MT says Camaro sales start in 06?!
I'm not sure if it was a typo or what but in a new motor trend article they said gm green lighted the drop top camaro and said it will likely debut a couple of months after the coupe goes on sale in 2006. Either thats a typo or gm has been hard at work. I personaly think it's a typo but if its not thats sweet. And after seeing it is going to be in the transformers movie maybe it isn't. Guess we will have to wait and find out.

With how secretive Gm has been I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it about mid 2007. I dount however that we would see Ls7's as they are a very limited production. I'm sure they'll have something peppier than the ls2 tho.

I am not excited about hearing about the 6.2 from the Escalade. That is not the type of engine for our camaro.
SHAME ON ******* GM FOR EVEN THINKING ABOUT A 3500-3600 lb camaro!!! WTF!!! That is entirely too friggin heavy. I do not want a whale that gets bad fuel economy and worse turning performance!!! GM is messed up in the head, I really wish there was a competitor I could turn to !!! AGH!!!

Information published in car mags is basically 3-4 months old by the time it hits newsstands. Not very accurate at all.
Neither GMHTP or MT were accurate, they just guess, and poorly.
3500 is too heavy? My 2001 tipped the scale at 3567 in stock form.
I don't see the 5th Gen being any lighter, but not much heavier either.
