Lutz was quoted as saying that GM would need to sell at least 100,000 camaros a year to stay afloat. Soooo....that's over half of the current mustang production. I don't know if the camaro can do it... 
It kinda changes the ballgame.
As much as I would love to see a new Camaro, the bean counters might snip the camaro's ***** off before it can even pull its pants down. I dare to predict that GM will try too much to copy the mustang that it might not be what enthusiasts are hoping for. GM used to be in the lead when it came to innovation and new products, now its playing catchup (HHR anyone?).
Time will tell.

They're slow in the certain years....a late 80's/early 90's 5.0 LX will walk all over a 96-98 4.6 GT's. Really the only mustangs that could even be hated on, speed wise, are the 94-98 GT's and 94-95 Cobra's weren't much to right home about.
