Do we have any idea if the new camaro will be available with stripes? Cause some of those looked really great, its the little things like that which will help draw people to the camaro and away from the mustang

today I was talking to the salesman that sold me my truck. It's a Buick, Pontiac & GMC dealership. I told him I was thinking of getting a C5 vette. He said he was waiting for the new Firebird. I told him that they where not going to make a new Firebird, only the Camaro.
I mentioned the new Camaro looked like it took some styling ques from 1999 GTO concept car. He said there is a new concept car for GTO and he was told it will not have the GTO badge when it comes out. That, he knew for sure.
It is built on the new Camaro platform.
Has anyone else heared anything on this?

Is much as I have heard, GM has not introduced a GM concept of the 2009 GTO nor have they officially announced that they will build it. I know it seems like 2 years is a long wait, but with the production of the 2009 Camaro beginning in mid to late 2008, I'm guessing it'll be made on the same platform as the new Camaro or they'll rebadge something that'll be out at the time.

This is not bad but has cues from the Pontiac of the nineties. Get rid of the side strakes and hood scoops for now. Make the sculpting on the sides a little less extreme and expose the headlights. With those changes, you could also graft the front onto the new Camaro body and that would work.
