NO!!! Why would we ever have paddle shifters. All we need are powerglides, solid axles, and no A/C.

GM's current paddle system should be in the new Maro, my Gay Uncle Maurice also believes this

Exactly. Its no replacement for a 6-speed manual, but its a viable alternative for the auto guys who don't want a manual trans. Definitely better than an A4 at least.

I think the paddle shifters would be better than the slap stick though. With paddles you can keep your hands on the wheel and there would be ricer trolls that would buy it just because it has RWD/IRS, paddles, and so on. This car will have a lot of cool tech and I think paddles will be a step in the correct direction.

I'd love to have an 6L80e under my seat for less than $30k.

Its a novel idea to some but to me it just sounds like something else that will break down.

I'd prefer the m6 because it just makes you feel more attahed to the car, plus I won't look silly depressing a fantom clutch . But if it was a daily driver I definitely understand the a6 with some kind of sport shift mode by way of paddles or slap stick.

Paddles are cool, but a good console shifter would be great. Nevermind, just go with an M6.

Three peddles and a shifter make a performance car. And please stop calling the Camaro a "camaro" (sounds very sissy).

paddle shifters will appeal to a larger crowd but it willl be **** quality

it'll be a "cool" factor thing that serves no performance benefits since it won't be an "SMG" type transmission...might as well just shift from the center console...same ****

i'll be getting an M6

I think it would be cool.... but why not put a slap stick in the center console and still be a A6

Default Paddles are the future

For god sakes they were developed in F1 racing and first in production on Ferrari's ..... now the Corvette has them, why can't the SS have it as an option to the M6...

Sadly, (or gladly, depending on your perspective) the rice crowd still would not buy it because;
1) It's a domestic nameplate/company (they hate on any/everything not from Japan/Asia)
2) It does not come with a turbo stock, so no "cool" pssshh, pssshh, chirp, chirp sounds from the non-existant B.O.V./wastegate, that they seem to require
3) OHV/pushrod engine is too "old tech/old school" for them, again
4) NO humongous/tasteless/useless wings, spoilers, or fake aero $h!t/body kits (although I guess they would find a way to add them and DESTROY whatever good looks the car might have.

I didnt even read the whole thread, but I think its just one more thing to go wrong in a car that has stood for simplicity since its inception. Much like most first run models there would probably be issues with it the first year and be fine after that. Its just my opinion that a feature like paddle shifting is for another platform of car. What do I know though, I like simplicity.

Forget the paddles, what they really need is a seq. shifter, with dog type engagement for the transmission. Then the people that want an automatic, yet want the ability to shift gears every once in the while will pretty much have that ability, they jsut gotta pull the lever each gear not worrying about a clutch.

For the people that want the Manuals, they still get it, and if u dont shift,
