NO!!! Why would we ever have paddle shifters. All we need are powerglides, solid axles, and no A/C.

What is better than a Maro with an A4? A Maro with an A6/Ferrari-esque paddle shifter system.

I think the paddle shifters would be better than the slap stick though. With paddles you can keep your hands on the wheel and there would be ricer trolls that would buy it just because it has RWD/IRS, paddles, and so on. This car will have a lot of cool tech and I think paddles will be a step in the correct direction.

I'd prefer the m6 because it just makes you feel more attahed to the car, plus I won't look silly depressing a fantom clutch
. But if it was a daily driver I definitely understand the a6 with some kind of sport shift mode by way of paddles or slap stick.

paddle shifters will appeal to a larger crowd but it willl be **** quality
it'll be a "cool" factor thing that serves no performance benefits since it won't be an "SMG" type transmission...might as well just shift from the center console...same ****
i'll be getting an M6

For god sakes they were developed in F1 racing and first in production on Ferrari's ..... now the Corvette has them, why can't the SS have it as an option to the M6...

1) It's a domestic nameplate/company (they hate on any/everything not from Japan/Asia)
2) It does not come with a turbo stock, so no "cool"

3) OHV/pushrod engine is too "old tech/old school" for them, again
![Rolleyes](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/rolleyes.gif)
4) NO humongous/tasteless/useless wings, spoilers, or fake aero $h!t/body kits (although I guess they would find a way to add them and DESTROY whatever good looks the car might have.

I didnt even read the whole thread, but I think its just one more thing to go wrong in a car that has stood for simplicity since its inception. Much like most first run models there would probably be issues with it the first year and be fine after that. Its just my opinion that a feature like paddle shifting is for another platform of car. What do I know though, I like simplicity.

Forget the paddles, what they really need is a seq. shifter, with dog type engagement for the transmission. Then the people that want an automatic, yet want the ability to shift gears every once in the while will pretty much have that ability, they jsut gotta pull the lever each gear not worrying about a clutch.
For the people that want the Manuals, they still get it, and if u dont shift,
