NO!!! Why would we ever have paddle shifters. All we need are powerglides, solid axles, and no A/C.

GM's current paddle system should be in the new Maro, my Gay Uncle Maurice also believes this

What is better than a Maro with an A4? A Maro with an A6/Ferrari-esque paddle shifter system.

it'd be cool but not all paddle shifters are good. some really suck and lag, others who spend huge bucks in developement like lambo have really good paddle systems.

I agree, do it but do it right or don't do it at all. Paddle shifters are great for track days and I enjoy them even more than my M6

The paddle shifters are fine when the TCM is tuned. I had an 08 update/performance tune done on my 06 A6 TCM and it feels like a totally different car. I am sold on the A6 for any GM car in the future. When it is tuned, the upshifts and downshifts are instant when using the paddles. Very fun now.

That's really the main thing I don't like about the paddle shifters on the Vettes, press the button and it has a mushy slow to respond shift. I want to press that button and it be done shifting before I can get my finger off the button and be a nice FIRM shift. I'm still not sure I'd buy an automatic Corvette but it would be a step in the right direction.
