they'll probably slap on a panoramic roof like the G6 and add $3k to the pricetag.

T-top ARE a deal breaker. The wife won't let her forth gen go if it doesn't have t-tops

They can put T-tops on the 5th Gen, as long as they put them on just half as many, percentage-wise, as they did the 4th Gens.

That way, T-tops peeps can have their way, but hardcore speed freaks can also easily find a hardtop car without the extra weight and flex of a T-top car.

I've seen a number of 4th Gen cars offered for sale and I click on the ad, read it, and click out as soon as I see the dreaded T-tops. Yeah, not the biggest fan, but I also understand there are those out there that love them.

The first fourth gens (in 1993) didn't have T-Tops.

Im sure if the camaro is a success in the upcoming years. Then the gens that follow it, might end up with the t-tops, and the t-tops have to be able the fit the theme of the car as well as be supportive, you cant just slap on a t-top on any car they give you.

The whole reason i bought an Fbody was for the Ttops. GM make them power Ttops that retract back into the roof like an electric sunroof does, there is more than enough room in there.

Actually they did... 3,340 Camaros had t-tops in 1993.
Methinks they weren't available until late in the model year though.

i heart ttops. They are sweet because it's just a huge sunroof even if you dont take them off.

In my opinion, T-tops should be offered in the new model. Hell, not many cars come with T-tops and it is just awesome having them. GM is changing a lot, and I think that their quality is improving.

This was addressed at the G10 (for the most part) that t-tops would be very hard to put on a 5th gen given the side windows on the car. Scott asked us if would buy it if it had a sun roof, or a roof like they offer on the Malibu Maxx (one that is large and slides up in sections) I would say 99% of the people in the room said no.

Remember the 1st Gen’s didn’t come with t-tops (just hard top and convertible). I would not count on t-tops being offered on the Camaro the most you might get is a sunroof option.

This is why I am option for a convertible model.

Man I love T-tops if you see out in the street there is more camaros t-tops than hard tops. I say if you like them get it with t-tops it offers the corvetible "like" feling and gives you great trunk space for reliability.

You see a lot of F-Bodies with t-tops, because they came standard on V8 models if I'm not mistaken. As for the corvetible like feling, I more prefer the convertable feeling t-tops have. What does trunk space have to do with reliability? j/k mayn
As much as I love t-tops, I don't think the 5th gen would look right with 'em.

I understand that the 5th gen is a modern interpretation of the 1st gen, but the camaro's styling has always evolved from its previous generation into a more modern car, I'm not opposed to the retro styling(the concept is awesome looking, and the 69 is by far the coolest/stylish camaro)

but that's the past and the enthusiasts just wanted a new camaro for it's basic appeal

-affordable
-cool distinct styling (except from F-bird)
-kicks mustang *** with a big V8

with modern suspension/features, and I'm sure GM can design a targa top that would be light enough and not suffer from the dreaded ttop leaks.

Pat
