If Chevy is smart, they will remember the 50's and 60's when Chevy dominated car sales with common sense thinking for the family man and the young buyers salivating for cars with options for all to pick and chose from. And they still made money.

Default 2009 pricing?

has gm put a pricetag on the new camaro? i really would like to own one but at $14/hr $40k is a bit out of my price range. i was thinking buy a 6 cyl and just build the **** out of my 96. but my friend russ knows me too well and he said "you'll never buy a 6 cyl" selling my 96 would almost give me the difference between a 6 cyl and 8cyl price. given that they are priced close to what they used to be. i believe the price on a new z was around $28k.

I'm wondering too. I'm currently lookin at local prices on LS1 'Maros and T/A's. Just waiting to see if the new model will be a smash hit, as their should be plenty of good condition 4th gens available for much cheaper than what I'm seeing right now. But like Ace said, if GM really drops the ball on the new Camaro......asking prices for the 4th gen LS1's might actually pick up a tick.

Well, the cool thing about the new sixes is that they are going to be around the same power levels of the new edge Mustang GT's. Pretty quick for the change I'd expect to see them sell for.

These new sixes might actually be worth buying for once!

Pricing is not yet set, but it will be priced competitively with equivalent Mustangs.

If I were a betting man, that is what I would totally put my money on...GM dropping the ball.

A 02 Z-28 6-speed stripper could be had for under $23k

Now if they could match that...........

I doubt we will see a Camaro with a price tag near $50,000.
