Are any of yall going to actually buy it??

Like GM is gonna screw up now and throw in the turbo from the Solstice, and forgot the V8 option

I am absolutely not buying a new Camaro. My 2002 Convertible SS had a sticker price of almost $35K. That's one of the reasons they had to stop making it. It was not competitively priced vs the Mustang. A new Camaro will not be competitively priced either.

im not buying one....they are ugly imo...when i first saw them 5yrs ago or so i loved them and wanted to get one....but now after seeing them in person i think they look like ****.... id rather throw out the extra money and get a vette plain and simple....and its not a rip off like the camaro is to the gto

Not if they look as ugly in person as they do in all of the pictures. Plus, it's a bad idea to buy the first model year of a new car because there are aways flaws that won't be discovered until its been in use. Those usually take 1-2 years to be fixed.

my brother is the gm for a chevy dealer in utah, so i know i wont have to pay a "market adjustment" like i would probably have to anywhere else, so absolutely i will be buying this car as soon as it comes out. I just hope i can get white with white leather.

Car looks like , and knowing chevy, they will overprice anyway, so my options are an older C6 Z06, or maybe a used GTO I can dump some $ into when the time comes that I'm ready for a new ride.

I won't be getting one when they come out. Most likely later on in 2009, or early 2010. I'll def. be selling my Mustang for one, either way. Or, I may just be irrational and impulsive, and buy one asap.

I have the money to buy one, but i wont buy it, when it comes out! They look kinda ugly, i mean the car looks like a fish on wheels! The interior looks awful, the front is too pointy, is just not my cup of tea! The convertible looks kinda good though but i would not buy it! Especially after seeing what could be the new gto, that car is sexy and would buy it in a heartbeat!

im going go ahead and say it. THERE WILL NOT BE A V8 UNDER 30K. A stripper GTO was 30k.... 3 YEARS AGO. Prices in cars do not go down, they go up with inflation. How much was a 67 camaro? 4 or 5 grand? Well **** I should be able to get a 2010 with a big block for 8k!!!

Actually, that's not true. It will be competitively priced with the Stang. Lutz and Settlemire have said that time and time again.

At this point, it's a 'no' for me as well. Like many others I was very excited to see the concept car but the styling really hasn't grown on me. In fact it's gone the other way. I'll make my mind up for sure when I can see a production car in person but as of right now my 4Gen is suiting me just fine.

I think the issue here is that time has passed too quickly for some people. Meaning, they tend to forget that nicely optioned Camaros were $25k with a Corvette V8 10 years ago. How anyone can expect that same pricing so many years later is beyond me. And forget about a stripper model, they don't sell well and there's no way GM is going to make a crank window, manual lock, manual seats, no CD player, etc. 5th gen car. The only options you'll see are stuff like Navi, audio upgrades, wheel upgrades, interior accents/upgrades (leather, etc.), etc. I think this thought of a $25k LS3 Camaro is stemming from the idea that stuff like a radio delete or no A/C option might exisit, but there is NO way that's going to happen. The days of factory performace cars being offered as bare-bones track ready monsters are over. Even when you could still order an LS1 Z28 totally stripped down, very few people did. It's just not in demand these days.
