Useless to speculate this before the 22nd, when we'll get rwhp and rwtq numbers. If it's making 400 at the crank, we'll see 380-odd at the wheels. If the V6 is making 300, we'll see about 260-270 at the wheels, which is enough to run even with a stock GT. my bone-stock 5-speed made 251 at the rear wheels when I got it.

We dont even know what motors are going in the new camaro yet, let alone what the rating is going to be for them. Also dont know the exact weight of the camaro. So yea pointless thread cause there is no way to speculate what they will run in the 1/4 at this time

While we don't know the EXACT numbers or motors, we have some very accurate guesses. It most likely will be an LS3, detuned from the Corvette program. And you can bank on Chevrolet marketing the Camaro as lighter, and more fuel-efficient in V8 trim, than the Challenger, making it somewhere around 3800 pounds, optimistically. Also; the V6 engine has been seen, and it looks to be the same DI V6 from the CTS's, which make around 260hp, so perhaps it will be a bit buffed up for the Camaro, at the rumored 300.

The HO V6 will compete with the 00-04 GT's but not the 05+ GT's. The 05+ GT's are significantly faster than the 00-04's GT's! BTW, it will be gay if you guys have to sport a V6 (regardless of 300HP). It will sound like poop & is just closer to rice!
