Z28 is dead?
GM will not drop the Z28 model due to name recongnition, if they did it would the stupidest move ever done in American marketing.

If GM is willing to drag the Impala SS kicking and screaming in all of it's FWD, torque-steer misery, then the Z/28 is very much going to be here. Relax folks.

Honestly the more I think about it the more I realize it's not too big of a deal. Maybe it's cause I'm not as die hard a fan as some of you, but remember it'll have a 400+hp n/a version, that will hopefully be priced right, that's pretty cool considering the model before was around 300hp stock, that's a good 100hp extra they are giving us with the new model. And there is still the z06 out there, idk if it would look much better in person but I really wasn't into the styling of the Z28 anyway from the picture's we got.
I'm just anxious for the info on July 22nd (particularly the weight) and to see this thing in person one day.

There have been a lot of rumblings about this. On one hand, I can understand them pulling the plug on it - with gas prices out of control, there is always a question of "who will buy them." On the other hand, why drop this line but not the Z06? Personally, I'm betting they drop the Z28 for the first year, and see how the car sells. Based on that, we could still see a Z28 with the LSA.
I'll wait another week and hear what Chevy says. Too much misinformation out there to belive much of anything anymore...

Slash the price on a new car? Why would this happen?
I am catching hell for posting some additional information on the Challenger's 35K Drag Package. I guess it was previously discussed with no details and incorrect pictures of the cars color.
So, let me SCOOP this. There will be factory drag package..
