the more oil the better. think about it, when you WOT all your oil goes through the engine to lubricate it, so that leaves more oil around for lubrication. also keep the engine cooler. the main purpose of oil.

Don't bother with the V6, you'll need +400hp to drag this thing around:

Curb weight (lb / kg):
3750 / 1705 – LT w/ automatic
3741 / 1700 – LT w/ manual
3769 / 1713 – LS w/ automatic
3780 / 1718 – LS w/ manual
3913 / 1779 – SS w/ automatic
3860 / 1755 – SS w/ manual

Nice looking car though.

That's just a rumor that is nowhere near confirmed.

doesnt look good for getting into a LS3 powered ride under 30. Seems with only 1 V8 powered model (SS) they will most likely hoard them and gouge the hell out of them with markups. They need a LS or LT LS3 (anyone heard of a z28?). 300 hp v6 is cool but ill never buy a v6, they sound like ****.

From what I've heard inside I would put money on this. There will likely be an LSA Camaro and they aren't going to let the GT500 continue to go unanswered. It's also a good way to keep the car visible as time passes.

It's also common not to release pricing information right away. That doesn't mean the car is expensive or anything like that.

Chrysler recently unveiled the Challenger SRT8 first. Then released the pricing sometime later. Then unveiled the more affordable R/T and SE models. Then unveiled the pricing for those later.

The Challenger R/T is priced at $29,995. Expect the Camaro SS base price to be very close to it.

that is almost always the way new models always are. have the basic car out a year or two, then make some enhancements and add a more powerful model to draw attention back to it. I don't know why people don't realize that.

The only thing I don't like is the cars weight. Maybe the Z28 version will be a lightened down version like Dodge did with the Challenger.

People complaining about it holding more oil are idiots. More oil capacity is BETTER for a performance engine. Seriously, if you are going to cry about having to add 2 more measly quarts of oil at each change, you should go buy a Honda Civic. You are on the wrong forum.

I think they did one hell of a job The Camaro is back You all should stop your bitching, because they wont be around long. I think this will be the last of the V8 muscle cars as we know it. More oil should mean a longer oil change interval, it all works out in the long run.

I agree, the orange/red colors are all too similar. Hugger orange would be the way to go....although, maybe white with orange stripes...

If that is the only V8 and it is supposed to be priced near a Mustang GT...then I expect a 26k LS3 M@RO.

The MPG on this thing is not going to motivate me to pay 29k. I will pay 26k tops or I will be buying something else.

The fuel economy is ridiculous!!! I like my old Z/28 better. 30 MPG and it is plenty quick.
