...and if GM put the cam in, wouldn't it still be under warranty?

That wouldn't be a bad deal to have 475-500+ rwhp with a warranty!

So are you trying to tell us something here? Spill the beans!! Will there be a factory reflash of the pcm available to go along with the new cam? or maybe it is not needed?? I guess maybe they are waiting for SEMA to tell us what will be offered.

My guess would be that this cam cannot be factory installed though because of emissions, so they probably can't offer it as dealer installed legally. Of course, if you don't live in an emissions strict state you could certainly install yourself. It makes you realize how much power is given up for efficiency and emissions purposes.
in alot of states like mine you h ave 5yrs before you have to run it through emisions anyway on a new car!!

Maybe it'll be a DIO (Dealer Installed Option)! There were quite a few DIO's that were available for the 67-69 Camaros and maybe since they went Modern Retro in the style, they'll do that too!

And when I mean Z28 territory 20-30hp is not a lot of difference between the two!! 515hp to 540,550! really at that point I'm looking at other things to make up a small gap like that!!
Why would you say people from winder are growing mullets?

The difference between a modded SS and a Z28 is the warranty. If you dont care about the warranty and dont need the top of the line Z then get an SS mod it. However if you want 500+ hp and a warranty then you need a Z.
