Production auxiliary gauges pics leaked!!!
GMInsidenews member Xeper sent us these two photos of the production Chevrolet Camaro's auxiliary gauges. The gauges reflect back on the 1960's Camaros and were shown on the concept car. Thus far we have only seen interior photos of the production car that are rendered by GM.
As noticable from the photos, the gauges include: transmission temperature, volt meter, oil temperature and oil pressure. The production gauges appear to be formed from a satin silver plastic.
Xeper also reports that the gauges are already being shipped out for assembly. This likely indicates that pilot builds of the new Camaro are starting at the Oshawa assembly plant. Production of units that actual customers can purchase begins in January of 2009.

Like the driving lamps on the Mustang GT this gauge cluster is a unique to the car cue for the Camaro. I like them.
As for function, I'd take any aux gauges I can get rather than not have them at all.
I had install volt and oil pressure gauges in my GTO because GM deleted them off for the US.

I like them as well but unfortunately I'd read that that gauge package only comes with another more costly (and heavier) option package so as much as I like them I would likely have to pass on them because I like my cars lighter and simpler (and cheaper ).

hopefully they also offer this as well to keep up with the times and give you a complete picture of your car:
