If you can't handle the assignment, don't take the assignment. He lapped the 5th Gen fine, commented how the 6th Gen felt even more planted and stable, yet he puts it into the wall. This was also a hot lap, not a racing lap, so there's no excuse for this. Idiot.

You could tell this dude completely misjudged the turn. I was at the Camaro Six unveil Saturday and I took my car, which puts down 410 whp around this track and had no problems at all. This guy had no business being on that track.

He made a mistake, plain and simply. He didn't crash the ATS-V, for example.
That said, anyone who calls a fender a "front quarter panel" really needs help in the "what's this about cars" department.
So he's not a great driver or writer.
